I am about to build an ecommerce Webapp with a Lamp tech stack with laravel for the backend + vuejs for the front but I am wondering if I shouldn't use instead Django given the scalability and security problems with PHP.

Now, what makes me more comfortable with Laravel is that it is more adapted for the requirements of an ecommerce website. It will be easier to me to use a PHP framework for an online store. However, if you convince me that it will end up costing me a lot more then I'll do it the hard way and deploy my store using Django.

An argument in favor of Django is that I will be able to use Nginx instead of Apache and have a faster webapp. PHP works way better with Apache with the config mod_php. Nginx+php-fpm slows you down.

The end goal is to build a multivendor e-commerce website with high traffic so speed matters
