I think the scene with Kaworu talking to Seele was added in the directors cut, and I know there's one other
Broadcast version basically focuses on Kaworu and Shinji's interactions, instead of doing pretentious "muh 2deep4u" lore shit.
This goes for the entire show versus the directors cut too: the original show focuses on the characters and the directors cut retcons in all this dumb lore shit for autists to obsess over.
