>>3602724I think everyone is underestimating how stupid Gauma is. First off he only thought Yomogi was his Yomogi. He hasn't been positive the whole time. And when Chise used Dyna Soldier, that was when he was injected with even more doubt "Dynazenon, can anyone use you?" Etc. This makes sense since, in the original Gridman episode, Gauma beat the shit out of a bunch of scientists and nearly hurt an innocent girl because he mistook her for his Princess. That was likely what they had in mind to make Gauma so apprehensive with Yomogi even though he was pretty sure to begin with. Then you throw Yume into the mix, if you rewatch when he sees her for the first time right after talking to Yomogi you can tell from the shock in his face that his first thought is that Yomogi has already moved onto someone else. And he did make attempts, he didn't just slap them together. He went over to his house plenty of times. Thing is, Gauma wanted Yume to apologize, he likely had no idea that was setting them up together. And in episode 5 he wanted to "catch Sizumu off guard" by making Yume and Yomogi. In his head, he probably thought Sizumu would assume Gauma would be with Yomogi instead. And you can see that back fired with him getting jealous. But then it was too late. What's he's going to do, break them up? He wants Yomogi to be happy and if that isn't with him he's going to respect it. That's why it's tragic. You can tell in episode 11 how much it was eating away at him though.
