I'm happy for the new animation project, but like I've seen others say, the ending was pretty conclusive for Reki and Langa at least. This is something I feared after it ended, that if it got a s2 or any sequel, that they would pull another drama out of their asses, I hope that's not the case. What they can do is to focus on either Cherry and Joe or Miya, though there's nothing left to resolve from s1, they could explore Cherry and Joe's relationship more, while Miya has the most potential for anything since he's still young and his resolution was a quick voiceless conversation with one of his past friends at the end. Whatever it is, I just hope they don't fuck it up.
