>>3563587It depends on what exactly you hope to get out of the series. The manga has a simple and unique but dated art style (not necessarily a negative opinion) but you'll be less able to feel the tonal changes that the anime manages to convey. These tonal changes aren't necessarily bad either, but the tonal change from "genuinely creepy shit/monster-of-the-week" to "typical shonen power-ups and long over arching story plot" is pretty stark. Early season Inuyasha is peak comfy. By the end of the anime you get pretty tired of some major plot elements that keep being brought up.
Like all anime vs. manga, Inuyasha isn't free from the anime having additional side stories/characters that weren't present in the manga either.
