As for Kawoshinfags: there is definitely the old vs young you mentioned and how their media experiences have shaoed their understanding of homo context. Although some known Nip Kawoshinfags are old too and still trying to excuse this but desu I never saw Nip fujos outright hate it when their homo pairing gets no-homo'd and ends up with girls, so it's definitely a cultural thing too although I think fujo mangaka think otherwise.
Conformism is still big in Japan, so while I am surprised by some Nip fujo reactions looking back at it, for them it's nothing. They have been through this numerous times and it doesn't affect them so much. But I will still wait for West fujo reactions when the West release happens.
