>>3507222I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the other posts, talking how love is just chemicals, trying to somewhat invalidate our emotions, and how hypocritical it's to say that everything we feel is "not real", even though to get to that conclusion they themselves had to think, even though they say it's not a real thing. I'm not saying that all nihilism is hypocritical, most of my thoughts fall into what people call optimistic nihilism, but the "14 year old teenagers, that watched a video about rick from rick and morty, nihilistic point of view of life" definition of nihilism is hypocritical.
>"Nihilism is not about believing in nothing... Nihilism is to admit that things have no intrinsic value..."Isn't that kinda the same thing? I mean, even the name "nihilism" that comes from the latin word "nihil", literally means nothing, and your not admitting that things have no value, your just choosing to believe that, no philosophy or belief or religion is correct.
>"You don't believe in a philosophy, you just apply it"You're both right and wrong to say that you don't believe in a philosophy, because it really depends on what you mean on "believe", for a example; I bet, you never seen someone that is both christian and nihilistic. If a belief don't implies that you apply the things you believe in, so religious people just believe in the existence of a god and don't apply that to their lives. But I always could be wrong, so if you think differently i would be happy to hear what you have say.
