If it brings in a profit, it has sold well. Keep in mind that merch sales, fan events, and streaming views aren't broken down like disc sales from certain vendors are. BD/DVD sales are only one fraction of the whole profitability enigma.
And if you are looking for shows aimed at women to sell as much as shounen/seinen, you are a bit optimistic. Bait shows have a better chance of selling due to limited cross-demographic appeal, so you will often get stuff like T&B. Shows where the bait itself is incredibly tame and all the creator's romantic intents go into side material and interviews. YoI was an unexpected anomaly- the fact that we haven't seen anything like it since speaks volumes about how sure they are of a repeat performance. Instead, we have gotten more straight-up BL adaptations and bait shows like BALANCE:UNLIMITED.
Lastly, while /a/ has gotten more tolerant over the years, the board's demographics heavily skew towards young straight men. It's absolutely no surprise that "fujo" shows get little to no attention there.
