I love how he [spoiler:lit]was still able to kill Sephiroth and save Tifa as a normal marine, like without any SOLDIER/mako/Jenova enhancements but STILL felt horrible about never making it into SOLDIER.[/spoiler:lit] It just made him feel so real and relatable, he overlooks his own achievements and sees himself as worthless, because of some deeply rooted anxieties along with wanting to impress Tifa.
