I feel like a lot of fanon, even outside of western fandom, kind of changed how Ichimatsu is canonically portrayed too. He isn't chubby in canon still, but I quite miss the nostalgia of how he was in season one - even though he was insufferably harsh to Kara, there was this edge and very hidden awkwardness to him. S2 Ichimatsu is just awkward and a sad boi.

About the animation quality, I wonder why that was the case. Were their episodes outsourced? And yeah, agreed. I loved the movie.
