the only person we've gotten word from in regards to murdoc and 2D's supposed friendship is murdoc, an established liar (now more than ever). but in the past he wouldn't haven even entertained the THOUGHT of him liking 2D publicly while 2D originally looked up to him as a big brother. we've got murdoc crying on screen over being abandoned by him.
what I'm getting at is, you add in a 2D thats defensive over the suggestion that he could care for murdoc into the mix, and I wonder if they're aiming for some kind of role reversal here, however clumsily executed. it'd be fun to see murdoc as the one facing rejection now and have it visible to us that he's actually impacted by it and wants 2D back.
