Other than that, Hima was experiencing heavy burn out from having to produce so much content in so little time, hence why there hasn't been any new strips. This hasn't been officially stated, at least to my knowledge, but it's easy to connect the dots when strips were getting sloppier and sloppier art and even when included a meta panel in one of them about being overworked.
No word yet if Hetalia is dead in the water, but I really hope the comic at least gets a proper send off eventually.
