And need I even point out how weird it is for anything that makes Arata look good to be verboten in the fandom, while everyone's totally fine with showing Taro some love despite the fact that he is pretty reprehensible as a character?
Sure, he's a pretty good guy NOW, but for Pete's sake, not only did he use to beat up friggin' Taisei, a near-literal angel, it's word of God that he threw a girl, not a woman, a tiny middle school GIRL down a flight of stairs for refusing to date his perma-virgin brother. Yeah, I love me some Taro, but I'm not ignoring how he's kind of a bastard.
I guess Arata's a little more of a bastard, since he seems to be pretty unreformable, and he doesn't mind hurting the people he's close to, but still, he's far from the only asshole in the comic, so why is he the only who got slapped with a fatwa?
