>>3362752>I'd just be happy with a spiritual successor to Rise of the Ogre with new artMy ideal project would be a series of comics, mostly accurate to current lore, spanning from phase 0 to present. It would keep the parts of RotO that worked, like D-day and Paula, flesh out some lackluster backstory, and fill in the blanks with regards to things like Jamaica and the failed movie while abridging the parts of RotO that sort of dragged on. Then it could expand on the lore in phases 4 and 5, maybe introduce new elements to give it some dimension, pick up that dropped possession plotline, and set them up for whatever they've got planned next.
But I don't think Jamie is interested in anything that doesn't further the illusion of Gorillaz as a virtual band come to life. Their ultimate goal has always been holograms, but that's a long way off still. They've done mo-cap a few ways now, so I'm not sure where they're going next. Whatever Japan has been working on to bring their waifus to life, I imagine.
An animated Spinal Tap-esque documentary would also be amazing.
