>>3344586Oumota's my favorite. I think Kaito's the only one who could really keep up with Kokichi's energy, and he's good at breaking down people's walls, something Kokichi desperately needs. It was special to see that start to happen in chapter 5. Plus, Kaito's love hotel event makes it clear that he wants a rival for a lover, something Shuichi or Maki can't provide, while Kokichi can. I just think they'd have a lot of fun together. Plus they look great aesthetically.
I don't understand why Saiouma is so popular. Yeah Kokichi canonically has a crush on Shuichi, but I can't see Shuichi being interested in Kokichi at all. Even at the end of their free time events, he still seems ambivalent and just tolerating of him. He seems far more interested in people who lift him up like Kaede and Kaito. I like the thought of one-sided interest, but the ship seems lacking in chemistry to me.
