The first paragraph even has an ellipses in the prose mid-paragraph, a comma that should be a period or semi-colon, and a sentence that starts with "and". I can tell by glancing ahead that the grammar only gets worse. I've never seen two-period ellipses before. It's unreadable. Pass.
>>3339757To play devil's advocate here, when you're a 2doc fanfic writer who wants to take a grounded, realistic approach to a pair of characters who regularly engage in cartoonish violence you have limited options. You can either woobify Murdoc (The Answer), de-woobify 2D (Yearz), ignore or gloss over the more overtly abusive aspects of their relationship (most 2doc fanfics), or take canon as is and accept that their relationship is abusive, toxic and, ultimately, pretty condemnable. Most fanfic writers don't have the balls to do that last one anymore, and I appreciate those who do. But between the first two options, I'd take an un-woobied 2D over a woobie Murdoc any day of the week.
Granted, this fanfic just looks like a shitty, out of character portrayal of both 2D and Murdoc with a cliched gimmick, not an attempt to bring realism to Gorillaz lore.
