>>3305241As for the Murdoc hate, it's just more virtue signalling. Kids think they can get internet points by calling out a fictional character for problematic behavior, and shaming people for liking that character give them a sense of power. It's really boring, because it means the only character's they are allowed to like are perfect little angels with extremely superficial flaws, and shows that are being catered towards them have extremely flat character writing.
As for the tattoo: the iron cross is a symbol that has existed for centuries before the nazi party, just like the swastika. It was used by the Prussian military and the German military in WWI, and is still used in the German military today because THEY don't associate it with nazis. It was worn by the Teutonic Knights for protection against Satan, and it's also found in grimoires and books of the occult. It has also been popularly used by biker gangs post WWII for it's shock factor as a sign of rebellion. I think the last is the most likely reason Murdoc has it. It's not because he's a nazi or Jamie is a nazi and it doesn't mean anyone is supporting nazis by drawing it on him. It just means he's an irreverent character and that you're depicting him the way he is in canon. Personally, I think forbidding these symbols and treating them with such reverence only gives them power and makes them more effective tools for hate groups. Re-appropriating them and restoring their original meaning takes that power away.
Sorry for the tl;dr, I just have a lot of thoughts.
