By default Stan is loyal to Kyle, the best examples of the opposite are the one in your pic and in the metrosexual episode where Stan lets Kyle get beat up by the other metros so he can get pissed enough to plan to kill them with Mr. Garrison, both instances necessitated by the plot. South Park is notoriously bad at continuity in general though
