I've played Nine Sols for a couple days and I love Shuanshuan already.
>>3955167Don't worry, it's a good question, PNG files are usually better than JPEGs because they're less compressed. However, when you set a JPEG as your wallpaper in Windows it's gets converted to PNG, and the pic that gets saved to the "CachedFiles" folder is bigger than the original but it looks exactly the same. (Converting a JPEG to PNG doesn't give it more quality, it just looks the same, Windows does it for technical reasons.)
If you zoom in your pic, it has JPEG artifacts (those noisy pixels that shouldn't be there in areas that should have a uniform color), so it was definitely converted from a JPEG. Your pic and mine aren't pixel-identical though, so yours probably came from a different JPEG, but I'm unable to tell which one looks better, I see them really similar.
>>3955170I confess I never managed to make weird sized wallpapers to good look just with Windows. What I do is make a copy of the pics I'm going to use as wallpapers, crop and resize those copies so they have the dimensions of my screen, and use those cropped copies.
I use Gimp, but I think it can be hard to use if you're not familiar with it, but I don't really know an easy alternative.
