>>3925004I don't think Catnap is 'mean' to Dogday so much as he's very sassy with him in the afterlife (which seemed to be his pre-HoJ personality to begin with) which is how their relationship originally worked anyhow based on what's been posted. As some of the new animatics have shown, Dogday isn't actually that bright, is incredibly stubborn and is prideful and egotistic to a fault. He only mellowed out thanks to Catnap, and then violently relapsed with an added dose of extreme hatred and violence post-HoJ.
CatNap giving him shit for how he acts is both because of how Dogday treated him for trying to make amends on some level and because it's how their relationship has always worked - Catnap balances out Dogday's more stupid impulsive actions and acts as his tard wrangler, and Dogday gets Catnap motivated to do stuff more than lounging around or falling into dark places mentally. Admittedly though, that latter role has been somewhat reversed given Catnap has spent just as much time getting Dogday to act like his old self again.
