Speaking about it, I wish it had shown a few scenes where Isami and Smith genuinely hung out together in their free time. Privately I mean. Like in the BFY OVA where the two MCs went to the supermarket together and spent the night in a room talking, eating fast food and smiling.
Despite being overall less gay than Bravern this was an aspect that made me see longing between them that cannot be dismissed as comradeship alone, let alone gay pandering and jokes. I get why other anons consider Bravern more than just a tease series, but what's totally missing IMO is the private bonding, unrelated to any sort of conflict or necessity and without anybody else around.
