For those growing long hair, I only have one thing to say: don't give up! My awkward phase was looooong (a year) and very awkward, but very much worth it. I get complimented by cashiers, random people on the street. No outright judgement (perks of living in Montréal?)
I grew it out around covid, because the last barber I went to made me look like a 40 yo mexican. Haven't gone to a barber since 2021 I think
