>>3799917>especially considering the high-level production side comments, which made clear BNP was pretty much exclusively interested in selling sanitized, family-friendly ad space and merch forever.I didn't know such comments existed. Could you cite a few? I remember the S1 production team was always talking how they didn't allow corporate meddling to influence their creative decisions. It seemed like they took pride in their independence. There was even some shade thrown at companies who refused to sponsor FE. Very disheartening to know they went back on that. It just makes no sense to me, they never had to canonize anything, just maintaining subtext at the level of S1 instead of kneecapping the fans with that ending.
Re: Triggun. I had no idea lol, didn't even watch it but raving fujos at twitter make it seem like it’s ground breaking homo storytelling.
>>3799918This literally keeps me up at night. Pair that with S2 lukewarm reception and there’s realistically zero chance for a S3
regardless how much sense it makes narratively. It just frustrates me so much that the writing team decided to break the status quo right before the end knowing that the franchise is on thin ice. The ending was so unrewarding and rushed that I'll never be okay with it until it’s confirmed that this is not the end.
