I had recommended a friend read a novel from novelupdates and he ended up using the translation list there to find some godawful Wattpad MTL and messaged me after wondering what the hell was up with it. Kek. I usually hunt down the carrd for a novel and crosscheck with reddit to make sure I'm reading the right fan translation.

I feel like a lot of fan translations fail to capture the original author's prose so it's just very literal and not enjoyable to read. The 2ha fan translation I think by rynn/suika(?) was a rare exception.
