I'm only on the 4th chapter and while I enjoy it, like many others it shows how the 1 volume approach to BL can be crippling. It could have used a lot more time to develop the plot, relationship and shibari. Especially with the nice touches of dom bottom and sub top as mentioned.

Maybe one day I'll get that BL Nana to Kaoru.

That's the basic 5 steps of erotica, which could be simplified further to 3 expressions: Arousal, Sex, Satisfaction. Beginning, Middle, End.

However, "sequential art" is just the "art". The paneling suggests a passage of time.
The difference between Class Comics and say, Oglaf, is that Oglaf is a "comical" strip. While Class Comics are closer to "graphic novels".

I hesitate to call them that because Class Comics doesn't complete it's narratives. They're are constructed so flimsy, and released annually, that only someone doing a literary analysis would see that it did indeed have structure.

*Spoiler Warning*
In Ghostboy & Diablo, for example, it stretch across multiple issues. Which were released almost a year apart. Diablo undergoes a crazy mitosis, splitting into 2 people. This conveniently concludes the arc which began as the conflict of him feeling emotionally torn between being a faithful father and husband, and this secret love affair with Ghostboy.
But maybe "emotionally torn" is giving it too much credit. I don't think Diablo actually expressed regret or resistance. What we see is him hunched over in random pain on 1 page. Signaling the start this mitosis process which we don't see more of until the end when he split in 2.
I doubt even people who read all the volumes in one sitting would be able to connect these 2 events.

On occasion Class Comic tries, I stress *tries*, to write meaningful character developments. Couples break up. Hero get's circumcised, lol. But they're also designed to be endless chronicles.

With Erotica, of course we're going to see sexual situations. But a good story would explore their psychological underpinnings. Character's awakening their homosexual desires is a good start. Western Comics tend to treat sexual identity as this inherent thing. Like their hair color. We recognize that gray hair is part of the aging process, a biological fact. However psychology is psudo-science based on theories. So there are many ways to interpret a persons behavior.
There are stories like Star Fighter which is basically a bunch of clones stuffed in tin can floating in space. Heterosexuality just isn't a possibility. There are very few lewd scenes which only exist to characterize relationships between partners. There is a question what exactly is holding them together? Imagine your life partner was essentially assigned to you. Like your kindergarten sitting arrangement was destiny. When they graduate, and there is nothing forcing them to be together.
It's romanticizing choice. To use an analogy of magnets, the poles are attract in a very specific way. North and South. If one magnet is turned by external forces, the question is what happens to the other magnet. Does it turn with the other. Does it fly off in repulsion. If it had "choice" would it heroically increase it's magnetism to break the hold of the external forces and flip the other back around. Or tragically break the other apart.

Gothic Romances were distinguished by their sympathetic relationship towards a monster. People tend to over look "sympathetic" and simplify it just Romance with vampire. The couple are suppose to see themselves in each other. Teenage girls who are social parasites or anorexic. And they sympathize with a vampire because they're actually parasites, or actually starving. They're in love with an ideal version of themself.

Beauty and the Beast has a lot of adaptions and variations to it. But essentially the non-disney version is a Gothic Romance. And the thing about Gothic Romances is that they chronically a character's fall from grace and journey into damnation.
Of course, you know the Beast was cursed. Why and How varies. But Belle "Beauty" she too was cursed, everyone wanted her to get married. So the reason Belle fell in love with the Beast is because she saw an ideal version of herself in him.
She had jealous sisters. He had a protective mother that she wasn't good enough for. Everyone dies.
They find out they're cousins, and everyone was right for the wrong reasons.

It's hard to fault parodies for being empty. They force Gaston and the Beast together with hyperdicks and exaggerated expressions.
To actually frame them together with chemistry would be an amazing feat.

The character of Gaston actually replaces Belle's sisters who were jealous that Belle would find happiness and luxury, when she stubbornly refused marry these other aristocrats.
In the myth of Psyche and Ero, which is closely related, the sisters kill themselves after Psyche lies to them suggesting that the literal god of desire would have pursued them over her if his identity had remained a secret. It's like why live?

For Gaston to desire desire itself, it's a little abstract. But that's what Psyche and Belle were all about. They were content with their lives and wanted nothing. Only wanting to want something like everyone else.
Gaston had it all. And as a hunter, once he gets what he wants he doesn't want it anymore.
So a truly erotic fiction between Gaston and The Beast "eros" would need to be orgasm denial.
