I wish I had more to contribute but I've been thinking about how the early life of Thomas De Quincy is like an IRL BL manga in the mould of Kaze Ki To No Uta or Heart of Thomas

>Regency era
>His father dies when he is young and he is cheated out of his inheritance by his father's executors
>he is trapped in a boarding school where the headmaster almost adopts him
>When he is 16 or so despite knowing it will break the heart of the kindly old headmaster he runs away from school to reclaim his fortune
>he drifts down to London penniless and homeless
>ends up befriending a teenage prostitute with TB (female irl but in the manga you'd make them a cute twink)
>they look after each other and become almost soul mates
>eventually De Quincey gets a real chance to reclaim is fortune but has to leave London to sort things out
>He and the prostitute set times and dates and places etc. for them to meet in future in case they can't find each other
>when he gets back to London he never finds the prostitute again despite searching for a long time and even returning to the times/dates/places after years
>sad ending like all 19th century BL
