The psychotic fantasies that this sort have about him are worse than the things that happened to basically any of the main characters of the first season. He will definitely wind up traumatized from witnessing a bunch of deaths, including people he cares about. And he might get seriously injured or even die in a normal combat sort of way. But the "he's actually going to be an evil psychopath and get brutally tortured mwahahahahaha" shit are just the depraved fantasies of child hating sadists.
They gravitate to things like cyberpunk because it allows them to cloak their sickness in "lore". But they've gone a bit too mask off with this one. That Talia chick is actually set up to be at risk for horrific body horror torture. And yet even that isn't a sure thing and instead avoiding that fate could be like saving Lucy in the first season. And even the things that are likely to happen to her are still less bad than most of the fucked up things those types are saying about Roman. Which takes away the "heheh that's just how cyberpunk is" defense and lays bare the fact that they just hate and want to hurt children.
