There are only two on the pitch but there are five CBs total which makes it *more* likely that one or two will have good conditions. Other positions only have one on the pitch but three in total, which means to get onto the starting line-up you need a condition better than two other players rather than three or four other players. Couple this with the fact that of all non-medals CBs are the least likely to get tired or get subbed and you should actually expect that some CBs will appear less than others.
