If the core of the Earthis molten and mostly made out of Iron/Nickel, why can we find materials more dense than iron and nickel on the surface?

Shouldn't these more dense elements sink to the core? Or does the flow of magma stir the whole thing up allowing heavier metals to flow to the crust?

Are there more rare elements (like tungsten, lead and gold for example) hidden inside the core and the mantle?
