That is bullshit, quantum entanglement allows particle to share a wave function, meaning that when measured they will share certain properties, but there is no action at a distance. The only "action" that can be done no matter the distance is a collapse of the wave function, but you need to keep in mind that the wave function is not a physical object, whereas it is only a mathematical description of an object.

What did you think that an observation was? Of course an observation affect something, it is just that you have to be on the quantum scale for the effect of the observation to be non-negligible. The thing is that two particle can share information over a big distance, by extracting some information from a particle, you restrain the information that is available from the other particle.
Also, the proof of the "action" at a distance, which is based on the Bell's theorem is based on non-relativistic quantum mechanics, so it can't deal with question where the notion of simultaneity is fucked when dealing with relativistic speed and we're not even talking of general relativity.

you guys are fucking retarded. observation effects quantum systems because in order to observe quantum systems we have to blast them with electrons. its like saying observing a forest causes it to change because the only method we had for observing a forest was burning it.

its not magic or spooky at all. its one of the few concepts in quantum physics that are actually able to easily be understood on a conceptual level by the layperson.

Wave function are mathematical objects, that describe physical objects that we wrongly thinks as local object.The problem is when people makes the assumption that wave function have an ontological meaning and not a strictly descriptive meaning.
