Say you want to teach math to a child. You have access to all the books out there; you have already taught him English and he can understand all that's written in the books; you can instruct him up to some point, but can also give him time to read and work out some problems; the kid knows just the basics about addition and subtraction (if it helps you answer, he also knows a little about dividing and multiplying).
