I don't know what you think the subjective even is at this point, it's not some ethereal substance to which thoughts occur, it is a particular form of thoughts themselves. Each thought their own experience connected through various tricks already discussed. The you of 10 minutes ago is already long gone and will never occur again, the you of 3 seconds ago is gone.
This has to be the most banal view i tend to see in people who consider themselves scientific - that there is some persistent immaterial self, its not a soul because "that's whacky religion" but it's definitely there.
