I find your conclusions bizarre. What on earth does an academic´s interest in the concept of IQ have to do with the very real barrier of entry into various academic fields? Surely you do not believe that a person in the 90th percentile of intelligence could ever attain a doctorate in mathematics, much less excel in the field?
The link between academic success and IQ is not negligible, despite what you may or may not think about the subject.
