The stuff kept super secret is usually more strategic in nature. While it was secret at least, the point of the F-117 wasn't just to not get hit by a random guy with a stinger (ironically), it was to deliver targeted strikes to Russian missile bases or the like in ways that hopefully couldn't be stopped. These sorts of projects generally don't excel at just hitting regular old dumb targets, and they don't need to. Much better to keep them so they have a surprise way to hit the Three Gorges Dam if they need to than just throw them into the Middle East against some dudes they could hit with a predator anyway.

You should understand that the Air Force has a lot of data about everything. They have radar, satellites etc. Yet we have only eyewitnesses testimonials and 3 videos. What about other data?

I said it's possible, if they move in ways we do not understand it stands to reason they may have other capabilities, including avoiding detection, that we do not understand either. This is of course assuming the government isn't lying about the whole thing

the government doesn't have any future fancy bending the laws of physics aircraft. its not what secret aircraft usually are like. all the physics of every spooky secret aircraft is well known. its just the applied engineering that want to hide from people and governments. if you create some sort of stealth aircraft that hides from the USSR radar you don't want the USSR to find out about it because they will make countermeasures to it. However for things that arent like that such as the X2 helicopters coming out from Lockheed (which are far ahead technology wise of any vehicle we have seen from the governments spooky black projects) they brag about and show it off. you need engineers to work on it. you need money. the best way to do so is to make it public. if the government had some spooky advance propulsion why not make it public so you can more easily get man power and money for it? it makes no sense to hide it. the physics behind are going to be well known.

I never said if it's alien or not, and if it was they might mitigate some detection methods but be vulnerable to others. When you are dealing with this amount of unknowns it is difficult to speculate

FLIR is an old technology specifically started inception in 1972. Either these crafts have really shit technology that are visible to decades old tech but invisible to modern radar. This is clearly a contradiction.

That they can avoid detection. Yet they cannot avoid archaic methods of detection.
The government has many reasons to claim including inducing fear into their enemies. Remember that the US does have a lot of enemies. War is typically very damaging. Inducing fear is a better way to frustrate them.

mostly its training, at least with the stuff like the "stealth" helicopters ("black ops spotted over Arizona!") that were just rumors in the early 2000s that people kept claiming to have seen...
the pilots have to learn how to fly via landmarks and such, both city lights and natural. Also a lot of drones are still being steered remotely, not truly autonomous
everything else is shoops and bad information. and a burly speck on video is proof of nothing
