So while there is room to put a large factory along with the massive radiators necessary to cool it into orbit, the costs to do so would be so high that it wouldn't be worth the investment. Sure, launch costs are gradually going down now, but not enough. And while there are promises of cheaper ways into space being made now, those promises have been made decades ago and had never been filled (ex: Shuttle). The spaceflight industry shouldn't be focusing and advertising on what cool things await in the far future, because to most people that's no different than writing an episode for Star Trek. The industry should be focusing and advertising what cool things can be done now and the near future.
