Also everyone itt, stop drawing only from photo references of clothing/fabric. Go to joann and buy a yard or two of various fabrics, pin them to the wall in nice drapes and do studies from life. Get a few different weights, fibers, solids, prints, etc. Or even just use a tshirt or bedsheet.
Cloth is too dynamic and complex to get good at merely drawing/painting from photos. It's not like drawing a zoo animal or some other exotic shit that you can't access irl. These photos are good for quick referencing how folds might move and hang in very specific situations. but you need to already be able to capture how fabric moves from life to translate it into an actual piece successfully. Working from life means you're actually observing the form and depth of the drapery instead of a flat, static photo.
