Why doesn't the US let artists work professionally under a pen name?
I don't want my grandmother, wagie boss, or potential future employers finding out I draw people getting slapped with horse penises
I don't want rainbow-haired college kids hunting me down for "not being inclusive enough" while drawing people getting slapped with horse penises
I don't want to be recognized for an unrelated accomplishment and have some retard go "AREN'T YOU THE GUY WHO DRAWS PEOPLE GETTING SLAPPED WITH HORSE PENISES???"
We know the real identity of just about every American comic author/artists and their pen names. Japan has mangaka in the business for years without revealing their identity.
