Anons, what can I do if i'm stuck on a tool as simple as paint? I just can't get out of it and use something better.

Push it to its boundaries. Your tools can't hold you back. You must conquer the program. Physical paint is just oily pigment, then man conquered it with a brush and with technique.

Is there a reason you can't get other free programs? Krita is a really good free one that I'd recommend, if you don't wanna go down the route of piracy and just get a cracked version of Sai like probably 50% of Sai artists out there. Or a cracked version of something else, just whatever floats your boat.

If you want a free program that should be really easy to figure out for a beginner and has a lot of simplicity like paint does in terms of layout, then FireAlpaca and Medibang are also options. They're not what I would personally use, but they're pretty decent and I think they'd be a good start, if you're just wanting to get used to something outside of paint.

How long do you tend to stick with new programs? Most programs usually take a couple of days up to a few weeks to become comfortable in. Especially if you only been using paint before
