Try to learn more about what you're drawing, but be careful not to overcompensate, as there are diminishing returns the more you learn about the object.
Drawing a landscape? Understand how geological events create natural formations, so your drawings follow this principle and is more believable
Drawing an animal? Understand the underlying physical structure of the animal so that it can be realistically manipulated to fit better on paper
You do NOT need to learn physics and chemistry to understand how these things function, only the areas that affect the physical appearance
