The intuos I have was branded as "Intuos art" when I got it (I think just because it came with a trial for some drawing software). And it does have the smooth surface, as all other tablets I've had (though, granted, the genius ones did have this acetate layer for protection). I'd definitely recommend having a smooth one. And if you ever want a paper texture, just put a piece of paper on top, secured with tape (did that for a while because it felt interesting, but haven't done it in a while)
>>4632060I'm not really familiar with xp-pen at all. Afaik, I have no drivers but my tablet works perfectly fine on the latest version of mint. Safe for the quick access buttons. But I've never used them anyway (I prefer something like a side keyboard I don't need to get my hand off of)
xp-pen tablets are also the exact same price as huion or wacom here for the most part (they're imported and sold by random businesses that consider them all the same). So I only have experience with old genius tablets or this wacom I've had for about 5 years.
