I've always been interested in drawing but became quickly discouraged and thought it was just a matter of being born with it, so I never tried (even as a kid, this was my mentality).

however, now I'm interested and initially was drawn towards a drawing tablet, but is this a bad way to go for a beginner who is looking to build up those fundamental principles? am I going to hinder actual progression through becoming reliant on digital by going that route too quickly?
