This amazing artist has really stunning piecess of artwork, from the nature of their descriptions ("Ink is my blood") I suggest they are all made with Rotring. But, some lines are so clear that I wonder, maybe she used Illustrator and just made them look like that? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen such masterpieces done with Ink.

littlerally same techniques as ink drawing and rendering, even if its digital its still same technique

but to be more specific the dot part of shading is called stippling

Thank you, I've found some good articles about ink rendering. I didn't know the term. But what do you think, is it made on paper or by computer?
The problem is that on paper it's hard to hide mistakes, but these drawings semm really complex.

Okay, so I found a sneak peak into her workflow. She obviously makes a sketch first, but ink drawing doesn't seem to be drawn over that sketch since it is so thick. Also the final color version, that colors look too clear to me. So I am wondering if these are just Photoshop drawings over sketch? Or might really be ink on separate drawing...

the final inks dont need to follow the sketch 100%, the sketch is just to get the general idea of where things are, that process is correct.
also the blue and red might be one of those colerase pencils that dont show up when scanned so the artist can ink freely directly on the sketch, or she just used a lightbox

doubt its digital unless she found a way to get that traditional texture and feel 100% which i doubt

I googled those, and it seems that they are easy for erase, which makes them perfect for illustrations where you need a lot of corrections. Also, not as messy as graphite. But still I think she didn't trace over them, it would probably be visible. And computer is maybe too hard for such drawings, would probably take more time.

Yeah, its stippling, its easy to do with fineliners...
If you have a steady hand you can make an hybrid between croosshatching and stippling and also make it apear rounder and countourning the forms, preety cool stuff.
I work mainly with stippling, pic related

There is a high chance of photo tracing, I know. Since it makes everything 10 times easier, and I don't see the reason why someone shouldn't take this approach. But there is no evidence, maybe she just has that technique. Besides that, many of her works are surreal, which makes them hard to be photo traced.

Quite simply the figures and faces are too neat, too simplified, the lines form perfectly as a figure would appear in a photo - with the ink technique applied on top (whilst nice looking) to someone like me it all looks too 'well drawn' for it to not be vector traced.

I think it's possible to make such ink drawings, but wouldn't be surprised if they are vectorized.
Thomas Ott's graphics also look very nead but they are all handmade.
