Sycra simplified anatomy.
Is this worth giving a try? Or there are better resources for that kind of stuff?

I'm honestly kind of sad with where sycra went. I used to watch his videos 2013-2014. I feel as though with the sheer amount of time and studying he's done he should be way better. He regressed. I also think his friend bobmeatbag shouod be making way better things at this point aswell.

Sycra is a pretty competent artist but his tutorials aren’t very good in my opinion. I really enjoy his sketchbook tours though. I wish more artists would make long ass videos explaining their though process behind every little drawing like he does.

Get Michael Hamptons Analytical Figure Drawing, you can probably find the vids and pdf of the book online. Then watch Vilppu vids on anatomy. Really good material there, all you need basically.

Learn the actual anatomy and simplify it yourself however suits your needs.

There's a fuckload of halfasses who learned from the people who learned from 5min tutorials and make all the the same mistakes.

Sycra always has a place in my heart for how fun he made anatomy. 9th grade me used to hate figure drawing videos, but after I got into his stuff, I started drawing more and doing the things I used to hate. Can easily see that if I entertained a Villpu or Loomis tutorial, I wouldn't be drawing today.
