>>4160416>>4160198now a bit more, one of these people sees it as a crutch, its possible to FAR overuse stabilizers, this ends up with art that is FAR to clean, and something looks very off with it. many artists will go back and fix work sure, but over use of stabilizers is a bit of an issue.
on the other hand, digitizers work by triangulation points on the surface of the tablet, this is done several hundred to thousands of times a second, and a good stabilizer smooths this shit out, you want enough so your lines aren't constantly fucked, but not so much that that you draw perfect circles drunk. the one tool I remember the most is lazy brush, this treats what you are doing like you are drawing with a string attached to the work. this is less stabilization in the form of a gimbal and more stabilization in the form of attaching a cable to a very large pvc pile rig so every movement you make only changes the cameras position a little bit, if this comparison makes sense.
either one you use, just don't abuse it and your fine.
