>>3692311Nigga how ducking stupid are you. I already said this multiple times. My gripe is with the people who “can’t into art” but do because they (a) don’t have anything better to do, (b) see other people getting popular with it, (c) tech breaks down any sort of skill barrier, (d) a lot of them quit after a year or so.
>>3692277>>3692285>>3692208I guess I should cave and use every tool to shit out quick crap that I don’t actually take pride in. I guess I’ll download pic related after all and stop being salty.
“Reinvent the wheel”? No faggot. Your time is what makes things you build feel important. There’s a reason why I deliberately choose not to use Illustrator for my lineart. It’s crisp but it looks like shit even with the line tolerance down. Literally looks like a computer drew it. Eye dropper and fill tools colorize you shit to the perfect hue immediately and if you don’t like it you just select and adjust it. And the halo caused by aliasing is literally a non issue and the easiest shit to fix. Add a gradient to any color and it makes the pic look more professional. Even shitty ones. All this shit other than the lineart takes seconds to do. And apparently lineart won’t even take long once the tech in pic related gets picked up by someone with an eye for flourishes. I know how to do this shit. I choose not to because likes and little pixel hearts on social media are for validating the motivations of amateurs. I “don’t cheat” because I want to work and invest myself into my art, because as I said already: it’s for me to have for myself. Not for gay little brownie points.
It’s the time you invest in shit that makes your creations meaningful. This is why popular artists who shit out daily masterpieces quit. They don’t have passion for it and never did.
