You build it by looking at tons and tons of Art old and new, watching tons of films, and obviously nature. but basically a visual library is an amalgamation of things that already exist. How a dream is completely unique to you but only made up of things you've already seen and experienced.
So basically just look at more shit and try to understand why you like or dislike those things. take the elements you like and build your own shit.
