This is not good design. This is a retard with no real life experience aping something like Mad Max, which based all of its clothes and cars on working models and ex military stuff.
This is why you do primary research when designing something. For example, why wouldn't the faceplate cover the ears? A simple visit to any museum would show you that any face armour a) wouldn't deflect the richochet INTO the centre of the face b) would protect the ears and top of skull (this isn't paintball, I assume) and c) would have at least basic eye and nose protection
