60FPS interpolated animation footage looks like garbage because some of the data it's trying to interpolate isn't even fucking DRAWN yet. If you look at every single time there's an asset passing on top of another through parallax, you'll notice this awful distorted mess where the algorithm is trying to blend interpolate lines that didn't exist in one of the drawings. It's really obvious with low-framerate work.
Not to mention that all the intricate arcs intended by the animators are suddenly turned into dozens of little linear interpolations in every animation. Arcs turn into the edges of octogons when you do this kinda shit.
