To clarify, I mean that it will create a different problem for him. It will (probably) help the problem of feeling demotivated and tired, but it will introduce a new problem of the work taking forever to finish or being shitty, which can be distressing itself. If you want to make comics, then you need to pick two of three things:
- A decent pace of releases
- Solid quality of releases (not super rushed or unfinished)
- Not working when you don't feel like it
Want to put out decent work at a good pace? Sorry man, you have to work hard even when you don't want to.

Everything here depends on the person at hand. You're falling into the same "what works for me should work for everyone" trap that the rest of /ic/ falls into. This anon is clearly having a problem with break management, and they should take breaks without guilt until they can build up the mental fortitude needed to draw more regularly. "Ending up taking breaks all the time if you take a break whenever you feel like it" is not a universal phenomenon. Some people want to draw and can't, and the reason why they can't is because they should be resting more often.

I gave an example of how taking breaks messed me up. My problem arose from NOT toughing through it.
And yeah, no shit I'm talking about my own experiences. I only know what I have experienced. I can only speculate as to what works for other people, and that doesn't help. Obviously the answer is anon should do whatever works for him, but by the sound of it he hasn't found what works for him, so I'm telling him what worked for me. I'm not unique, perhaps what worked for me might work for him.

I just took total, guilt-free ownership of my time, personally. If I didn't want to draw, I didn't. If I did want to draw, I did, and cleared the rest of my schedule to make it happen. The result was me wanting to draw more often than not over time, because it stopped feeling like a chore and more like a voluntary, progression-based activity.

My solution was personally very simple because I found a way to stop caring which improved my mindset, and the lack of stress opened up a ton of mental processing power that allowed me to get more done.

Alright, how about we take a step back and analyze the heart of the argument here:
This anon has the problem of lack of motivation to draw.

I also had the problem of lacking in motivation, I tried to solve it by taking breaks and working when I wanted to, and it kind of worked, but over time the problem arose that I wasn't happy with the rate that I finished work. I was falling behind my self-set deadlines every time, sometimes by several weeks. I realized I'd be at this forever if I continued at the rate I was at, but demotivated as I was, I decided to quit instead of knuckling down again. Fast forward a few years, I'm now back to knuckling down, only this time I feel no such demotivation. I can summarize from this experience that the problem was that I lacked motivation originally, but now that I'm older I understand that I need to work even when I don't want to, or I'll simply be creating more problems for myself in the long run.

You had a problem of lacking in motivation, you solved it by taking breaks and working when you wanted to. You say this lead to you working more, but I don't know much about for how long this has been going on or if it's lead to a level of productivity that you're satisfied with. Has it? Tell us more.

If it worked for you, then that's wonderful! But it merely tells us that, as you say, what worked for you didn't work for me, and might not work for him, just as my advice similarly might or might not work him.
All I can say ultimately is that the core of our problem was always discipline. I lacked discipline to draw when I didn't feel like it, and while the short term solution of a break helped my motivation, it lead to dissatisfaction with my productivity, a new problem. Later down the road, simply being more disciplined spares me the dissatisfaction with lack of productivity, if nothing else. Your solution avoids the problem of discipline by transforming it into something you want to do, so discipline is no longer a factor.

At best you’re grasping at straws for him being a quarter or less “black” and even then, he’s clearly not just by looking at him.

Felipe is clearly a white-Latino mix, and his browner features clearly come from his Latino blood. You’re only labeling him as black cause you wish he was, but one clear look at him and his roots and it’s clear he’s not. Most accurately, you can say he’s Latino.

It's a decensoring. Meaning some over guy drew the genitals over the censor bar/mosaic. I highly suggest you study actual pussies rather going by someone's interpretation of what a pussy looks like. Pussies tend to vary a lot person-to-person too so studying real pussies will hopefully enable you to draw different kinds of pussies, which can be hot as fuck.
