>>4952818the best desk for animation is a bit of an oddity in modern times, but not entirely out of reach. essentially, the old-school desks were a basic drafting table with a plastic disk inside of it that would act as a light box and have a built-in peg-bar to hold the animation paper (they were hole-punched a certain way for animation)
this allows for a significant amount of freedom and control over your paper
unfortunately, finding this kind of desk is insanely hard (and beyond my ability to google in a short amount of time, but it's not impossible to find the two main components
you'll need a decent drafting table (I'd price a good one for this purpose at least $100 and at most $200)
next is the disc, which isn't easy to find, but thankfully there are still people who make them. I found one here for just $103 (S&H included)
